Chinese-English-Chinese translation services

We will also edit a translation after completion, on request. This may be necessary where the translation is aimed at a wider readership - as in the case of manuals or press releases, for example. We will edit the translation so that it reads as smoothly as possible without changing the content.

File formats of translations

Translations can be delivered in almost any file format, whether they are for web pages, flash banners or high-quality print materials. Past experience has shown that this is around 2-3 times cheaper than having the layout done by a separate advertising agency or graphic designer. We have the latest versions of all major graphics software in the industry and always purchase more whenever needed.

Chinese

Over 1.3 billion people, or around 20% of the world's population, speaks one of the many varieties of Chinese. It is the official language of the People's Republic of China, Taiwan and one of the official languages of Singapore. It is also spoken in a large number of other countries all over the world with Chinese communities, such as Malaysia and the United States. The standard form is based on the dialect spoken in Beijing, which is sometimes also known as Mandarin, though there is a high degree of regional variation which can make communication between speakers in different areas difficult. The Chinese writing system, which has changed little in over 2,000 years, makes use of characters rather than individual letters. Today there are two standard versions - the traditional system, used in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, and simplified Chinese, which was introduced by the Chinese government in a bid to increase literacy rates and is also used in Singapore. Chinese is an official language of the UN.
